i m new around here ... i hope people around here can help me
I m from India ,i m using idea sim and my handset is blackberry 8830 world edition. i brought this phone 4 days back.my phone is locked with telecom nz company ... but since its a blackberry 8830 WE phone it has a sim slot and my sim is working properly except the blackberry internet service (BIS) .BIS get disconnect at any time ... And start working by it self .. I mean out of 24 hrs its working for only 5 6 hrs a day .
for the information - when i brought this phone it was on 4.2 os and now i m updated to 4.5 and when i thought it could b a software problem so i totally removed the os and update it again with blackberry desktop software but nothing happened ... after that i have changed me carrier from vodafone to reliance but nothing happened .. then fianlly i m using idea sim but nothing has changed, BIS get disconnect by it self. Yesterday i call idea customer care and they told me every thing is fi9 from there side so i m really confused what to do now.... ??
Anyways so now what i wanted to know is that what is probem with my phone is it a network problem or a handset problem ... please help me i really need a BIS service

You said the phone is locked to telecom nz and are attempting to use Idea carrier.

unless the carriers have aggrements with each other to use any of their phones you will need to have the phone unlocked.

At the top of the forum there is a link to unlock service.
