Default contact category help?

Please Login to Remove!

Hello,

I've spent about half hour searching here and in google to no avail. I'm syncing my bb torch contacts with gmail contacts ota. My gmail contacts are nicely categorized but nothing I try will get categories to follow the contact into my bb. Is it even possible? If not, is it possible to batch categorize bb contacts rather than doing it one by one? I have hundreds of contacts to do.

Thanks!

Unfortunately Google categories do not sync. And I know of no way to do a batch category conversion. This is one thing Android got right with contacts. You can open a group in your address book and use the "add to group" function. You then add check marks to every contact you want to put in that group, hit Finished, and that group is instantly populated with all the names you selected. One scroll through the contacts list for each group is all it takes.
