My trackball will scroll over the first line of applications, however will not scroll down unless I hold the alt key down. Also, once in an application I can sometime have to hold the alt key to navigate/select an option, then the trackball is fine once in. Example: I go to email select to delete, I can highlight all messages, click Delete Messges, and then I have to hold the alt key down to confirm delete (I can't just scroll) Help driving me crazy!

Could be dirty or gotten wet.

If dirty, turn the device off. Press and roll the ball in the direction that it will not work, Then roll in all directions for at least a minute. Turn the device back on, and see if that fixes it. If so, don't carry it in your pocket. If not repeat the above procedure.

If it got wet, all bets are off, especially if you did not let it dry completely before powering it up again. See the FAQ for an article on what to do if your BB gets wet.

Thanks, I rebooted and it fixed the problem. I keep it in the holster and has never gotten wet.
