Please do not double post as one is enough. Your second thread has been deleted.

Do you have a BB data plan active on your account. You need that for any map app.

What did you do to make it disappear?

Who is your cell carrier? I know that it isn't OS5. We need that information as well, and please update your profile.

Is the app hidden?

Also try installing Google Maps which is a good alternative.

You need a BlackBerry Data Plan in order to use BLACKBERRY Data Features such as BLACKBERRY Maps.

When you reinstalled the OS, you probably lost the Service Books.

I lost BB Maps after I wiped and loaded up .600. No way to load separately. After going to Blackberry.com and geting an e-mail link to download Blackberry Maps the link will not open. A search on Blackberry App World will not get you anything. It is not one of the cods I backed up with bbsak.
Must be part of the operating system but nothing on the Blackberry site is of any help here. I suspect I may have to reinstall OS .600.

As far a being on a data plan, I am on 1gb plan so that is not my reason for loosing it. I am aware that strangely Blcakberry World requires you to be on a data plan and connected wirelessly, which is a pain in the *** when roaming. When roaming and I have the option to connect wirelessly, I often turn off wireless to avoid the outrageous roaming charges. App World forces me to turn on wireless if I want to get the almost daily updates to existing programs and incur roaming fees. Was not aware the Blackberry Maps also required you to connect wirelessly to work.

JimFraser, you have my sympathy. I deleted BB maps now all efforts to reinstall have failed. I've given up. Google maps is better, but BBmaps are required to use the GPS Logger app. C'est la vie.
