Just working around my dead BB Curve 8900 having the same error "Unable to reconnect to the device during a multi-stage load operation." The screen shows only a battery sign and gets stuck there.

I tried wiping the data with JL_CMDER several times and running the AppLoader with the same results.

Please help me with this.

Try a different USB port (and cable). If this is a desktop, plug into the back of the PC. Make sure you are not using a USB hub (always direct to the PC/laptop).

It is directly connected to a USB port. The PC recognizes the Blackberry device but the device itself fails to initialize during the OS installation process.

I got the same result.

That error message indicates that the BB is not getting enough current during one of the restarts. Is there a different cable you can try?

I tried borrowing my friends BB USB cable and retried the process. It still gives the same error. Any other suggestions.
