Default Sim Card/phone Blocked

Please Login to Remove!

Hello blackberry community,

I am just wondering if anyone can help me with an issue that I/my friend has. Basically i told my friend how to put a pin lock/phone lock on her phone so people couldn't access her phone if she got it took off her for any reason. I told her how to access the phone lock/sim lock by going to her phone settings and now her sim card is blocked and she cannont access her phone at all.

So im coming here today to ask what must she do to get her phone back into working order ? i.e how do you unlock a blocked sim card/phone so you can use it for every day things ...

Any help would be apprecated.

Thanks yo.

Generally, you get 10 muffed tried to enter an unlock code and then the device is permanently locked to the original carrier.

I wont suggest your attempting to use a found blackberry but the first thing you should have done is call the carrier.

If the SIM is locked there is nothing you can do.

Use SIM card security to add another level of security to your device. This level of security is designed to prevent unauthorized use of your
BlackBerry® device or SIM card by locking the SIM card with a PIN code. If you lock your SIM card, other people cannot remove your SIM
card and insert their own and they cannot remove your SIM card and insert it into another device.
If you have protected your SIM card with a PIN code, you must type the PIN code before you can remove your SIM card and insert it into
another device.
Protect your SIM card with a PIN code
Verify that your wireless service provider has provided you with a SIM card PIN code.
1. In the device options, click Advanced Options.
2. Click SIM Card.
3. Press the Menu key.
4. Click Enable Security.
5. Type your SIM card PIN code.
6. Click the trackball.
Note: If you type the SIM card PIN code incorrectly three times, your SIM card does not function. Contact your wireless service provider
for more information.
