Default How do I Disable Password and Security Timeout settings on BB 8310

Please Login to Remove!

Hello to all, I need help as to how I can disable the password and security timeout settings on my BB 8310 under options, security, general settings. Both settings have a small red padlock displayed next to them and will not allow me to change the settings. Please help, thanks in advance.

Is your 8310 on a corporate BES account?
Or is this your personal device you bought used, and has an IT Policy on it from a previous owner?
Check your Options > > Security > General Options screen. At the bottom, what is listed in the section of **services**?

I bought it used for personal use. It has an IT Policy Name of 'New Standard User' from the previous user. There is no 'services' section under the General Settings screen. Thanks

You need to remove the IT Policy from the device.
