Default Voice mail issues

I am running an unlocked Rogers Blackberry Bold 9900 on ATT. Everything works fine but voice mail. I have 2 problems. 1.) I cannot get visual voicemail working and 2.) the new voicemail indicator (little tape recorder does not show up when I have a voicemail). With the missing voicemail indicator, the only way I know I have a new voicemail is by calling my voicemail after I see I have a missed call.

Regarding visual voicemail, I have seen some people talk about a solution on other forums. I tried that, putting the VVM files on my new 9900 and then restoring all the VVM settings from my old ATT bold 9700. All I get is the visual voicemail icon but it doesn't work. Old messages freeze and then the phone crashes. Does anybody know how to properly put visual voicemail on an unlocked Rogers 9900 on Att? If so can the tell me step by step how to do it?

Worst case, can someone please tell me how to get the voicemail icon to start working? I can't remember but I think it worked when I first got the Rogers phone but then went away when in tried to put VVM on my phone. Thanks

Please update your profile, as it says you are using a 9000.

If you are on BES, it might be blocked by the IT Policy.

Have you tried a battery pull to see if the icon returns?

Dubdub,
I updated my profile. In also went to the Att website you posted with no such luck and also have done numerous battery pulls with no luck. I had pulle my battery many times over the past 10 days since I got the phone. Thanks for the suggestions. Any others?

Do you have to enable visual voice mail with AT&T? I don't use it so I can't help you. Might need a service book so you probably should call AT&T to see if they can help.

Back when it first became available, I had to call customer service and they provisioned it on my phone(service book). There was no other way. Not sure if it's the same now.

I'll try calling them but I doubt they will be helpful as this is not an ATT phone but an unlocked Rogers 9900 bold

You can try resending your service books from your BIS page at AT&T.

I remember using an original Bold 9000 that was an unlocked Rogers model. I had AT&T service then and it worked perfectly out of the box. In fact, I won that 9000 here on BBF in a contest. That was SWEET!
