Holding Alt+Esc will bring up the bar in the middle, showing what apps are running, how do I close them? Open them and use the BB button and close? and how about the FriendChat notification, how do I remove that from the top?

Check options on the App . If none exist to prevent the display you may have to delete the App if it bothers you.

There are some core apps that always run. They're part of the os, and include Home, Phone, BBM, Mail, and Browser.

Pressing the red "End" button usually closes the window but leaves the app idling in the background. You can hit the ESC key until you're back at the Home screen or use the Menu key to select Quit. This kills the process.

Post Re: Blackberry Apps

If I remove an app like funambol sync, how do I completely remove it so that I can install it fresh to set up initial options. When I try to download it again from bb app world, it just "reinstalls" it and does not give me the startup options that I saw the first time I installed it.
