Can't make/receive calls or texts! Help!
 
I brought my blackberry curve 9300 on Friday from the online Orange shop, it arrived Saturday morning and since then I have had an ongoing problem. I am unable to make any calls, receive any calls and the same with texts! I have rung Orange 3 - 4 times and haven't got any answers so wondering whether anyone on here could help me? They said at Orange to remove the battery and then the sim card and then turn it back on, this worked for about an hour, I could make calls etc then but now it has gone back off and keeps saying 'Service Unavailable' and under the service status it says:

"Phone Number: _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _
Status: Not Available
Connection: Not Connected"

I've checked my sim card in another phone and it works fine, I've also tried another sim card in the blackberry and it does the same thing!

Any advice??

How strong is your signal - how many bars do you have? Do other people in your area using Orange have a similar problem?

Could be a phone problem, a bad SIM or a network problem. Keep trying to get Orange tech support.

Another option would be to return the device for a replacement.

Signal is very strong around here and have always used Orange as a network. I have signal on the blackberry nearly full bars and can access the internet but just problem with calls and texts. I have now contacted Orange over their web help e-mail so waiting to hear back now. Have had a search on the net and it seems quite a few people have had this problem and many have said about it being barred?

If a phone is barred or black-listed that means it's been reported stolen. If you got it directly from Orange, exchange it PRONTO.
