Default Geographic lock???

Please Login to Remove!

Hello,

I have a bold 9700 that belonged to Orange UK. It worked perfectly fine in Pakistan but it is not recognizing any network in Canada. I have tried to insert SIMs from Bell and Rogers but none was working.

Is there anything like geographic lock ??? How do I get it unlocked?? I have found many unlocking techniques and unlocking service providers but I need to know first whats wrong with my device before I blindly go for an unlock because probably that unlock might not work as well...

Need help ...

No, there is no such thing as a geographic lock, however, if the device was stolen from the UK, it may not work in Canada.
