Default Blackberry damage? with pictures

Please Login to Remove!

Hi guys,
(I have a blackberry curve 9300)

My sister spilt some water over my leg and I guess my phone was in that area because within a few minutes my phone started acting up...the end button types nm, the return button types something else etc. I took out the battery, waited, put it back in and as soon as it turned on it started typing hhhhhhhh into the search bar with no way of ending it.

Every time I've tried to pull out the battery in the same thing happens.
I've heard that the indicators for water damage are red...i'm not quite sure what the indicator spots are so i took a few pictures.

Any help/ideas of whether this will screw up my warranty will be appreciated!

If it got wet, removing the battery and then putting it back in, probably finished the job th water began. Read this from our FAQ: Got Your BlackBerry Wet? - BlackBerryFAQ

Sounds like water damage to me. Might have gotten damp, not enough to change the indicators, but enough combined with the battery pulls, did the damage.

The device can get enough liquid inside to damage it but not in the battery compartment to trigger the indicators there.

As Dubdub says, the symptoms indicate water, and not removing the battery and keeping it removed was a bad move.
