Unhappy They won't fix my phone?!

Please Login to Remove!

Let's keep this short and sweet. So, I got my curve in April and I was happy with it until last month, the keyboard completely stopped responding .

So I gave it in to my local Carphone Warehouse store for them to fix as it was still under warranty, I've waited a week and I went back into the store to check up on it and they told me that they couldn't fix the phone as I had removed the sticker under the battery of it They told me that the repair will cost 169.99 which is a bit stupid seeing as I might as well get a new phone and they've got my purchase in the system!

I was not told that I wasn't allowed to remove the IMEI sticker, is this fair?!

Tampering with the device is typically grounds for voiding your warranty.
It's entirely possible that removal of the identification sticker was considered "tampering" by your reseller. If they have a policy against removal of the sticker, then you violated your warranty agreement. This would seem fair to me.

Can the reseller provide you a copy of the warranty agreement?

I'm a nervous person and I fidget around with my phone too much but never mind why I removed it, it's over and done with and I want to know if I can fix it or not! :(

Hm, I don't really think the sticker affected my keyboard though and it's what I sent it in repair for. I'll try to look for the policy, thanks.

That's irrelevant.
