Default Converting to a pre paid plan

Please Login to Remove!

I'm with T-Mobile, using BB 9700 with latest operating software. Our contract expires soon, and I want to change to a pre paid plan to save money. Can my current phone be used? This would eliminate purchasing new phones.

Thank you in advance for your help.

I don't think any of the Tier 1 carriers offer pre-paid BlackBerry service. But ring them up to confirm.

I did contact T-Mobile received an e-mail stating that they do offer pre-paid plans and that I can indeed use my current BB.

Thanks for the timely replies.

From the T-Mobile site

BlackBerry Internet Service Includes access to BlackBerry email, BlackBerry Messenger, and BlackBerry App World for your BlackBerry device, for an additional $10 per month.
$10/monthFor Monthly4G plans $50 and up. Not available for Prepaid - Pay by the Day and Pay As You Go plans.

Edit;
Further reading indicates they "allow" blackberrys but not the Blackberry service for these plans which would include normal blackberry services. It looks like cell service only ( talk and text)

the info i gave was from their site. They allow BB's but it does not say it offeres the full BB type service without a service level indicated.

From the TMobile site it looks like they do offer BB Data for $10 a month, but only with $50 monthly 4g plans, NOT prepaid, pay by the day or pay as you go plans. Look here.

Includes access to BlackBerry email, BlackBerry Messenger, and BlackBerry App World for your BlackBerry device, for an additional $10 per month.

$10/month

For Monthly4G plans $50 and up. Not available for Prepaid - Pay by the Day and Pay As You Go plans.
