The device is/was on a BES. You must search for how to remove the IT Policy.

My Carrier said they are unable to get the unlock code for my BB 8700c from RIM. I think they are just trying to keep my account. Can I get the code from RIM myself?

No. Contact one of the commercial unlockers - click "BlackBerry Unlock" on the top of this screen.

I was unable to post a direct reply because the "Submit Reply" button only appears when in the thread. I also did not get a "BlackBerry Unlock" link on my BB8700c screen. Will try a desktop later. Two questions:
1)If the 8700c is a "legacy device", does that make it harder to get the unlock code?
2)Are there commercial unlockers I should NOT use?

Thanks.

Please do not hijack another users thread. It becomes difficult to follow when we try to answer two or more different questions and can be very confusing.

Start a new thread with your question, please.
