guess this is a problem many people are having i have a blackberry curve 8520 the scroll button wont move at all to any other icons and seems to be stuck i have tried taking the battery out ans turning the phone on and off any ideas ?????

Have you dropped it or has it gotten wet or damp? Sounds like a moisture problem.

What did you do just before this happened?

ive dropped in once like ages ago, def not gotten it wet or anything though, it just started off sometimes it wouldnt work but today it just stopped working it was sitting charging before it happened.

my daughter had the same issue - the trackpad slowly getting harder to use, intermittently locking up. Eventually it stopped altogether - reboot did no good, and as it was under warranty I sent it back to O2 for repair. I suspect that as she was a very heavy BBM user, her perspiration had managed to ingress behind the pad and corroded the connection.
They sent back a new phone. I think there was either a hardware failure in the trackpad or else in the interface to the phone so that only a rebuild would clear it.
