Default No email access in the Philippines.

Please Login to Remove!

I have been in the Philippines for the last two weeks and using my BlackBerry Bold I cannot figure out how to access my emails which is not a problem back in London. Is it anything to do with it being unblocked?
I have been to the tools menu, I don't know how many times. I have even changed the SIM card from Smart To Globe without success.
It is driving me mad.
Can anyone please help me?
My email provider is Yahoo Mail.

You need to check with your carrier to see if they have an aggrement with the local carrier. They may not do data or even support blackberry's

If you did not cancel your BIS account with your UK carrier before you left, then you can't set it up with a local carrier.

If you did, does the local carrier you are using have a BB data plan activated on the sim you are using?

Doing some additional reading, Vodaphone aparently does not have any aggrements in the Philippines. The BB will have to be unlocked if what others say is accurate.

Mike, if you're planning on hanging for a while, you might run down to Globe and set up an account. I've been here 6 months, I pay about $25 USD a month for full BB and some talk and text.... It's easy to switch back and forth.
