Default Transition effects

Please Login to Remove!

Hi,

I am considering switching to a Blackberry 9300 (currently Nokia user). However I can't buy unless I can find a way to turn off transition effects (as a user rather than as a developer). Please can you tell me if there is a way to do this?

The 8520 doesn't seem to have transition effects just now but the Vodafone salesperson told me that the new software with transition effects would be downloaded automatically to the phone, so buying one of these handsets would not be a way to avoid them.

I have googled around but I have not found a way to solve this problem.

Thanks,

J

"transition effect" is the name given to the sliding action that you see when one menu or application goes away and another one appears. The are very heavily used in Apple OS and many other computery folks have jumped on the bandwagon. I am one of the unfortunate folks who get motion sick from the constant sliding back and forth of the screen items.
