I have no idea where to post this as I just joined today, so very sorry if this is posted in the wrong place.
I have the blackberry torch 9800 and blackberry messanger just wont send messages. All it has is the tick sign and not the D sign. I tryed searching to see if any problems with blackberry and couldn't find anything. I'm on the orange network in the UK and was wondering if anyone had the same problem or knew anything?

All my other blackberry functions work fine. My blackberry internet wouldn't work for 30 minutes but since then they all work fine accept blackberry messenger. my emails come through and I can search on the internet and all my apps work for example facebook but blackberry messager no. I have unlimited blackberry internet and 500mbs internet a month.

Have you tried a battery pull to reset the OS?

I'm having a similar problem. I can receive BBMs, but not send them. If I try to, just a checkmark without a D or R appears. I have tried with about 10 contacts already, and none of them receive what I send. My internet works, WhatsApp works, sending PIN messages work, just not BBMs. I have full reception, 3G and the BlackBerry icon next to it. Clearly it's not a problem with my data plan or poor reception. I've called my celular company anyway, but they said that everything was working fine. I've also done battery pulls many times, turned off my phone normally, upgraded, deleted and reinstalled BBM, turned on WiFi to see if that was the problem, re-registered through Host Routing Table, and NOTHING works! So far, I have had this problem for about 8 hours. Can someone PLEASE help me? I don't know what else to do!
