I would start by downloading the OS5 version for your device. It can be found at the top of the 9700 forum.
Then I would create a backup of your device. After the backup has completed, wipe the device with JL_Cmder or BBSAK.
Once wiped and the device shows the JVM 507 error. Install OS 5 that you downloaded in the beginning of this process. The instructions will be found in that thread as well.
