hi all,my mum gave me her blackberry as she could'nt get on with it,i have blackberry app world but cant activate my blackberry messenger.i have put in email address and created a password but still nothing.im on pay as you go,any advise please,would be very grateful,thankyou.

Do you have a BLACKBERRY Data Plan or BlackBerry Bolt On from your service provider?

Have you created a BlackBerry ID and logged into the device setup with that?

You need a specific BlackBerry Data Plan or add-on in order to use BBM (or many of the BB functions). You will have to ask your carrier about it.

I just bought a blackberry phone 8520 (curve 2) and bought a data plan on it for the BIS. I discovered that the "edge" isnt changing from the small to the big "EDGE". I tried inserting my sim into another blackberry phone and it was working perfectly well. Please what can I do?

Are you sure that you have a BLACKBERRY data plan?
