Default TORCH 9800 sudden severe lagging/freezing?

Please Login to Remove!

Hi everyone,
I have a Torch 9800 which to be honest often freezes/becomes a bit laggy, but when I pull the battery out and restart it is usually fine.
However this morning something weird happened: The battery completely died in the night, so when I woke up I put it straight on charge, then my messages started to come through - I opened up Messages and I could see I had 3 unread texts and 3 unread BBM's.
I tried to open one but when I clicked on them, I just got the black box with the ticker going round, this stayed for about 5 minutes so I just pulled the battery out to reboot it.
However this time when I turned it back on, the messages had disappeared? I can't find those unread messages & it's really frustrating!
Anyone know how I could find them? PLUS, the reboot didn't fix the lag - it's still freezing whenever I press anything, takes about 3 minutes to do what I pressed, and my texts are still not coming through (Even new ones) - I have pulled the battery out about 5 times now! Any ideas? Thanks!

Hello. The software on your phone seems to bit "bugged". The unread messages you are looking for are more than likely gone if they cannot be found in your default message folder. If your device software is up to date... then resetting your phone to factory defaults could correct your issues.

If you allow the battery to run down below 20% it will fail and generally needs to be replaced. LI batterys do not like to be discharged. Buy a OEM replacement only. As for the lost text messages, There is a limit and you did not state how many you have stored.
You should also download desktop manager and use it to backup the phone. Free from RIM.
I would try deleting any added their party apps and lowering the amount of stored emails and text messages. Check your available memory and if low that may be the cause of the "lag" you are seeing. I would not do a wipe first.
