Default Help! Lost Pictures from a corrupted card

Please Login to Remove!

Hey folks,

I'm in need of help here. Any info would be much appreciated. I was away this weekend at Yosemite, and while away I started getting notices that my media card needed to be repaired. I did not let my blackberry repair the card and waited until I got back home to run a disk utility repair program on my MBPro. This has happened before, and last time, I did not lose any data.

This time, I lost all pictures on my media card that have been taken since I upgraded to the Torch 9810 (all the previous pictures from my Curve 8900 were in a different folder on the memory card). The card is working fine now, except that all new pictures are gone (5 months worth of spur of the moment photos of my 18 month old daughter when I was without my dslr)

Every time I plug into blackberry desktop manager the program imports my media. My question is, where does it go? I don't use iphoto (but checked to see if it was there since there's in option in blackberry desktop to utilize the program). I backed up my phone 2-3 weeks ago, so even if I lost a few weeks of photos, I'd love to recover the previous 5 months.

Any info on how I can find these media folders/data or how I can restore my media library would be appreciated. I am on a MacBook Pro, with BBerry Desktop v. 2.2.1 (build 7).

Thanks in advanced.

I know you are using a Mac, but for what it's worth, on a Windows machine (if I recall correctly) Desktop Manager would create a blackberry folder in the My Picture folder and sync the image files there. That may be the default and the user can change the location. I would assume it is similar on a Mac. But at any rate, can't you just search for any and all image files on the Mac and see what you find?

Thanks for the reply- I've searched everywhere for them but can't find the missing images. But even now, if I plug in my blackberry, desktop manager says "importing media." I also ran a program to recover deleted or hidden files and found 40,000 images (including email images and even web gifs, etc) but still no trace. So my last effort is finding where desktop manager stores the imports.
