| | Help! Lost Pictures from a corrupted card

I'm in need of help here. Any info would be much appreciated. I was away this weekend at Yosemite, and while away I started getting notices that my media card needed to be repaired. I did not let my blackberry repair the card and waited until I got back home to run a disk utility repair program on my MBPro. This has happened before, and last time, I did not lose any data.
This time, I lost all pictures on my media card that have been taken since I upgraded to the Torch 9810 (all the previous pictures from my Curve 8900 were in a different folder on the memory card). The card is working fine now, except that all new pictures are gone (5 months worth of spur of the moment photos of my 18 month old daughter when I was without my dslr)
Every time I plug into blackberry desktop manager the program imports my media. My question is, where does it go? I don't use iphoto (but checked to see if it was there since there's in option in blackberry desktop to utilize the program). I backed up my phone 2-3 weeks ago, so even if I lost a few weeks of photos, I'd love to recover the previous 5 months.
Any info on how I can find these media folders/data or how I can restore my media library would be appreciated. I am on a MacBook Pro, with BBerry Desktop v. 2.2.1 (build 7).
Thanks in advanced.
