The side plugin on my blackberry 8830: Having trouble charging my phone. Wall adapter charger works fine, as well as the adapter for the computer. It is the physical connection on the phone itself. I am due for an upgrade, but am out of my own country and need to make this phone last just a few more weeks. Can anyone suggest an alternate charging method or an accessory that can be used to charge the battery?

If the connector is defective on the phone the only things you can do is place the battery in another BB ( same model) todo the charging or look for a charger base for the battery. They allow the battery to be charged in an adapter outside of the phone.

do an internet search for "external battery chargers" You may also find one in a local store.
