You can reload the OS using Desktop Manager. In Desktop Manager, click Device, then update. If you are running your carrier's latest OS you will get a message that your software is up to date. Click View Other versions, select the currently installed version, then click Install. If there is an update available, you can follow the prompts to upgrade.
You could also install another OS version for your model. See at the top of the 8520 forum.
