Just recently, sometime in late April, cannot edit or add new contact. No response at all, if I power down & up get message as follows: uncaught exception app net_rim_BB_addressbook_app(252) is not responding: process terminated

Not sure what to do next, did battery pull and restart, plenty of memory 79.6mb on my Storm2 9550.

Any suggestions will be greatly appreciated.

Turning the power off and then on -- if that is what you did -- doesn't usually fix things. You need to try a hard reset, which is a battery pull, with the power on, for at least 30 seconds. If you didn't do that, try it. And if you did try it, do it again a wait a good minute.

If the hard reset did not fix the problem, then my advice is to use Desktop Manager to selectively clear the address book database and then restore from a recent backup or re-sync. If you don't have a backup or haven't been sync'ing with something, your contacts are lost.

You have multiple posts with problems that seem to be APP related. It might be good to delete all their party apps and see it this clears. Did you add one just befor this started

This probably has to do with the instant messenger updates.

appreciate replies, I deleted all April upgrades: windows live messenger, facebook, BBM and appworld. Contacts worked fine, so I reloaded upgrades and Contacts still working fine. It appeared Contacts problem was releated to appworld upgrade since after deletiong that's when they started working correctly again. Anyway, keeping fingers crossed that problem has been solved.

Delete Windows messenger App !!!
