My friend went on my msn on my phone and now I can't delete his name from the drop down menu.

I have deleted the application and reinstalled several times, I have deleted the instant messaging folder, I have searched through the data files to find anything resembling a packet of msn user names. it is still there every time.

I can even see it sitting there behind the user agreement when I start it up freshly installed the first time

what do I do so I don't have his user name in my drop down menu

I took out my sim and it's still happening so clearly it's saved onto the device somehow.

I am ready to break my phone out of frustration of something so trivial.

Back up the device, wipe it, and do a selective restore so that you do not restore MSN information.

How do I wipe it I can reget all my contacts.

That's strange. I have three accounts I use, and I can change the drop down easily. What version of Messenger are you on? Can you post a screen shot?

Once the Login screen comes up , try clicking on Get New Windows Live ID. Then enter your credentials. See if that does it? You should get an error about an existing ID.
