Unhappy Problem Connecting to Server

Hi

I have a Blackberry Curve 9300 but I can't set up my email account, everytime I try it tells me " Your device had a problem connecting to the server" My data services are turned on.

Anyone got any ideas? Need Help

Are you connecting to BIS or BES?

Do you have a Blackberry data plan or bolt-on as some UK telecoms call it, activated on your account?
