If I only have voice plan without dataplan for my phone, can I send and receive emails by connecting to public Wifi network?

Can BlackBerry Messenger be used without dataplan?

You must have a BlackBerry Data Plan in order for WiFi to work.
You must have a BlackBerry Data Plan for BBM to work.
