Default New Unlocked BB 9900 Bold Won't Start

Hi,

I purchased a new unlocked blackberry 9900 bold on ebay. When I insert the sim card and battery, it turns on and shows the progress bar loading, but then it resets and just shows the progress bar again and won't complete it. Or it just shows the "error jvm 545" and asks to reset. I installed blackberry desktop software and tried updating the software and device but it can't communicate with the device. Could you please help me?

Is the battery fully charged?

Hi,
Thanks for your response
The phone has been connected to my laptop for a few hours now so the battery should be fully charged.
And I tried most of the stuff on the web, but many of them include updating the software through blackberry desktop software. I tried this like a 100 times as well, but when the device software is being updated, when it reaches the part for "reconnecting to jvm", it gives me an error stating that: "the application loader could not connect to your blackberry device". So I cannot update the software/device and I'm stuck.
After I tried all these things, now when I connect the phone to the computer, it gives me another error on the phone: "error 507, reload software, for further information visit www dot blackberry dot com/507". I checked the url too, and it basically contains the steps for updating the software, which I am not able to do.
Could you please help me with this matter?

507 means there is no OS.

Try wiping the device with Jl_cmdr (see the FAQ) and reload the OS (see the sticky at the top of the 900 section)

Hi,
I installed an ran JL_Cmder, and I tried to wipe the phone several times, but I think it was not able to connect to the phone since nothing happened. Anyhow, I tried updating the software after, which didn't work due to the same reason as before.
Oh and I couldn't find the second section that you said "see the sticky at the top of the 900 section", could you please provide the link?
And one more quick question, I have the "blackberry desktop software", is this the same as "desktop manager" or I'm missing something.
Anyway, the problem is still not solved and I'm kinda freaked out ... :(

My mistake, should have been 9900 section, for the OS and instructions. There is also a sticky on helping you connect at the top of the VV Help Section and a something int he FAQ about what to do if Jl_cmdr will not connect.
