Hey,

I've gotten myself a Blackberry Torch 9860 with a contract. But I seem to be having a bit of trouble with the sms/texting section.

The question is... how do I know the person I'm texting is getting my text's and has read them?

How I typically send a text/sms.

I will press the Text Message Icon,
Press New Text Message
. Now I will then type in my recipient in the to: box, but once i do that another box named To: will also appear, I leave the second one black and use the name of my person I want to sms/text in the top box. Then type my message and then send.

I'll notice that the message when i click on it says "D" - It means only delivered? or Read? or does it mean neither and the person hasn't actually gotten my text or sms?
