Default HELP-NEW 8520-cannot set up id,via app or computer

hi, im a total numpty when it comes to this , so ive come on here for some help ! my sons brought a brand new 8520. cant get it up and running as i cant even get the id set up. been on the blackberry website followed instructions to do it via the app and error message comes up saying:- having trouble connecting the blackberry, then another message saying a identity update is needed would u like to install it no, i say yes, it says failed try later ! So tried going in via computer & conecting USB, but says not available with this device (or something of the sort) any help to make my 11 year old a happy bunny would be great !!!!

You purchased the device new, and have a BlackBerry Data Plan?


Are you having trouble setting the device up for first use?

hmmm blackberry data plan ??? whats that ???? could be my problem !!!

Just call Voda and ask for a BB Plan for your 8520.
