Default Photos on device but not accessable

Please Login to Remove!

2 things:
1 - where do you insert a media card on the 5820? Can't find any pics of my phone to show me where it goes.
2 -:Also suddenly my phone has stopped showing pics in the gallery, even though it tells me I have room for another 244 pics and I can whatsapp them to my husband direct from the photo page, but then when I try to attach them to an email they seem to have disappeared.
Any help gratefully received
many thanks
Penny

BlackBerry Curve - Manuals and Guides

Scroll down, look at the Start Here brochure, picture #3 of the device, to the left of the label inside the battery compartment (with the battery out).

Not sure about the pictures. See what others say.

thanks - but I tried this:
Turn off media encryption on the BlackBerry smartphone:

From the Home screen of the smartphone, select Options.
Select Security > Encryption.
Clear the Encrypt option for Device Memory and Media Card.

when I press options on my home screen all I get is
Wallpaper theme
Layout zen
Download folder media
Theme defaults

No other options - is this correct?

You have to go into Options from the Options icon, or settings, not the Homescreen Options.

ok I've found Security Options now - list says
Advanced Security Option
Encryption
Firewall
Information
Security Wipe

Under Encryption it is just either enabled or disabled - it's already disabled.

To be clear, you may have separate encryption options for both device memory and the media card. Do you see what I mean?

I've tried going to options in media but there are no security or encryption options there. Under options under pictures I have a set of 'exclude folders' which has a blue minus against Device memory, home, user and appworld. pictures and img have an empty box next to them..... I'm in another world now... There is no media card inserted. You are being very helpful!

No. What I mean is when you are in device options and on the screen to enable or disable encryption, there should be an option for device memory AND an option for the media card. That is, you can enable encryption on one or the other or both. I just want to make sure you saw both when you looked. But, for what it's worth, I refreshed my memory and I see that if you have encryption disabled you won't see the separate options. So, my bad. And plus, you don't have a media card installed anyway.

At any rate, it sounds to me like the pictures are there on the device. You are able to forward them by other means. If you start to compose a message and then select to attach a file, the device is probably showing you the /device memory/home/user/pictures folder. Maybe the pictures are in another location. I don't know how, but maybe the camera setting for stored pictures location was changed from the default. Open the pictures app and select all pictures. Hightlight a picture that you want to send. Select properties from the menu. What is the location? Is it /device memory/home/user/pictures? Or is it somewhere else?
