HI I have a BB Torch 9800 and it appears to have a little problem just developed on it that is very annoying to me. I have got an email to the device from what I assume is from the "BB apps world app" it is titled "New and noteworthy" "Auto reboot Device premium" when this email arrived it placed an orange star symbol on the front screen to notify me that I had this message.

Well I can not get rid of this star symbol, the message will not open when I click on it, which usually clears the symbol, if I delete the message the symbol remains.

I have tried rebooting the device once the message is deleted but the message is there again and the symbol remains.

Any know what I can do to get rid of this symbol and stopp it from sending me these messages?

There is an app available in App World by the name Auto Reboot. Did you possibly purchase it? The star could mean there is a message in App World, perhaps an update? Did you visit App World to see if there is an update available for one of your apps?

I have just checked the apps loaded on my device, I do not have Auto reboot downloaded, I have not purchased this. I have just checked App World it does not show any updates either.

The orange star indicates a new browser message. To get rid of it, you can go to Messages, then press BB button to open the menu, then scroll down to find “View folder”. Then select “Browser Messages” to read the message. Then the indicator will disappear.
