Default 2 problems while roaming

Please Login to Remove!

First problem: can't receive BBM messages over wifi.

I was roaming in Australia and tried to set my blackberry to receive BBM messages over wifi. However, it didn't work. Would appreciate any advice on how to work it. Another in the group had a BB 9700 and it worked fine with similar setting for him

Device: BB Curve 9360

Network Setting
Data Services: On
While roaming: Off
Wifi: On

Is there any other setting that I should have tinkered with to enable it?

Second problem: also during my australian trip - I tried to change my SIM card to an australian SIM card (from Telstra) & my BB prompted me to delete my profile. Is there anyway to bypass this?

Many thanks

Default Re: 2 problems while roaming

shutting off data services while roaming shuts off all data including BBM.

Not sure which profile you mean. Chances are the BB cannot talk to the service such as Appworld or BB protect because it thinks the BB pin and phone number are wrong and needs updating.

Unless you have full service BB data plans on both carriers you may have variouis issues.
