Default 9900-Can't see media files in BB Desktop Software

Please Login to Remove!

Hello all;

I've got a new BB Bold 9900. It's work-issued, so it's encrypted by default. I've put in an SD card, and can successfully take photos and videos, store them to the card, and view them on the handset.

The problem is that I cannot view them through the BB Desktop Software, so I'm unable to download the videos to my computer. When I go to the Device Options setting, it tells me "Media Options are Not Available: a proble occurred while attempting to connect to your BlackBerry device." I've tried installing the Desktop Software on Windows 7, Windows XP and Mac OSX, but the results are the same everywhere. The computers can all find the device, but none of them will read the stored media.

Am I doing something wrong here?

Just generally speaking, I've run into that error before. Never did figure it out. Went away with a desktop software update. But you have an IT policy on your device. I don't know if that is the explanation. The best thing to do is talk to your IT admin.
