Hi Forum, signed up to hopefully get this problem solved!

So my Blackberry 9360's trackpad seems to be in a world of its own these past couple of days. It suddenly decided not to work properly, with it not moving at all, or only moving in certain directions (left to right or up and down only) and not letting me select anything via the trackpad.

The odd thing is that if I press the menu button, it will perfectly scroll up and down, even though it wont let me do so at the menu screen. However it still would not allow me to select. Other issues that have happened now is that it will keep selecting on its own, for example if it was stuck on the contacts option, it will keep selecting forward on its own and eventually attempts to ring contacts.

The phone is pretty much unusable now and I desperately need a fix for it. Does this simply need a trackpad fix or is this a software problem? Ive already been forced to reset it back to factory settings, which provided a short fix, but now it is back to the way it was before. Any feedback is welcome.

Did you drop it or get it wet?

You could try reloading the OS.
