Default Blackberry deleting calendar entries

Please Login to Remove!

Hi there,
I'm having a very strange problem on a Blackberry Bold 9900 I'm in charge of:

I've got 2,800 calendar entries, I'm syncing the BB via USB with Outlook so once per week. And there it goes: the BB suddenly deletes entries on the device and wants to do the same on Outlook.

Of course I've set 'keep appointments' to 'forever' and I'm syncing only one calendar in Outlook.

It seems that the BB only deletes appointments older than 30 or 60 days and keeps latest, future and reoccurring ones.

I've tried everything I've found on Google to solve this, but nothing helped so far: Deleting whole BB, deleting only entries and do a one-way-sync. I even changed the device but within one week my BB still deletes entries.

Since the new update for Desktop Manager I thought it could fix my calendar problem as it doesn't ask Outlook to delete anything but a week later it tried the same.

Actually I'm speechless now and I don't know what to do on this. It bothered me and my colleague for years as it can occur a week or months after a wipe - but it will. Is there any cure for this kind of demon?

Thanks

You did not mention if this is a BES or BIS blackbery so a couple of things to check.
How much memory is left? too little and the BB will delete old entries. Also you should do a backup and delete older past entries to save memory.
Read this link for more info.

Thanks for the information. I'm using BIS.
Left memory is about 16 MB, but I'll check the thread out.

How can it be that the latest and one of the most expensive BBs has still issues saving some MBs of appointments?

OK, so I've got a look at the link but unfortunately "Keep Appointments" is already set to "Forever" as stated in my initial post. This was never the problem. Nevertheless I've tried all these resolutions but it didn't help so far.

The free application memory is 26MB if this can help you.
Free memory is 124979657 bytes.

The problem is, that the user wants to keep all appointments on both devices as he has to refer to them sometimes.

Im having the same issue with my 9860, I have mine set to keep for ever and in the option in the Desktop I have set the days to keep to 365 and yet even without doing anything after about 14 days its wipes 95% of the entries in the phone. Really annoying as i use it for invoicing!
