Default Backing Up

Please Login to Remove!

My BB hasn't backed up for weeks because when it reaches "SMART CARD Option 1 of Record" it stops and just hangs. I need help please

I'll assume you don't use a smart card. Use Desktop Manager to selectively delete the smartcard database, then run the backup. The alternative is to not delete the database and selectively backup the other databases.

Ira, Tried deleting the options and backing up but it didn't back up still. It hanged when it got to the same portion.

Any other ways?

Then selectively backup the other databases. Just do your personal information. You could then do a security wipe and start over.

I think deleting the smart card databases should have worked. You might retrace your steps and try again. If there's more than one smart card database, delete all.

Tried deleting the Smart Card database several times but has been unsuccessful. managed to back up individual data parts.

Any other way round it?

Only other idea is what I already posted: Now do a security wipe and then just restore the data that you need (calendar, contacts, and so forth) but no options databases. Then test.
