I have blackberry data/internet service, is there a way to limit the data usage so that I will be charge extra? thanks in advance,

Some carriers offer the ability to check the use some dont. call your carrier or visit their web site to see if there is a way.

As far as minimizing data useage as much as you can, use wifi whenever possible, limit your use of data on the mobile network to essential purposes, and fully exit data apps when not being used. There may be other ideas, too. See what others say.

As tsac says, it would be a good idea to watch your data useage on the mobile and get an idea of how much you are using and how you are using it. Of course downloading or streaming media are obvious biggies, but you may find social apps are significant as well.
