| Re: blackberry curve 8520 I can't tell if your answer to my theme question is yes or no.
Make sure you are using one of the themes that is native (i.e. A orginal BlackBerry or carrier) to the device. If you are using a theme that you downloaded, that is definitely not what you want to use right now, while you test.
But all things considered, you may want to either do a security wipe, or reinstall the OS, and start over. Do a full backup first, then restore just your personal data, but no settings, and no apps. Then use the BlackBerry as it is for a few days. Don't experiment, don't download any apps or any themes. See what happens.
After a couple of days of testing, just download what you absolutely need. If you can get through the next couple of weeks without an app, you don't need it. No third-party games or utilities, no third-party themes, no third-party anything unless you cannot do without it.
In the meantime, browse the BlackBerry forums. See what kind of problems people are having and how those problems are fixed. Play with the BlackBerry but don't change anything yet. Drill down through all the menues and options. If you don't understand something, open Help from the menu or look it up.
After a few months, if you want to experiment, go ahead. Make sure beforehand that you know what you are doing and how to back your way out or wipe and start over. Posted via BlackBerryForums.com Mobile |
