Hi I have a problem with my blackberry curve since I upgrated my app world and blackberry protect and Facebook. My phone doesn't want to show it on home screen or on the download I tried to install again but all it say is it is installed but it doesn't show any where. I am useing cellc and my internet service is BIS been useing it for almost one year and never had a problem. With my whatsapp when I upgrated it it only said error it doesn't want to work also deleted it and installed angain but same problem please can somebody help I need to fix it ASAP. Please with cherrie ontop.

Try a battery pull. Make sure the icons are not hidden. Delete the apps and download again. Do a security wipe and select to delete user-installed apps. That is what I would do, in order. .... Actually, check for hidden icons first, then battery pull.

Do a full backup before you do anything.

I did all that check for hidden icons and deleted and install and reboot. Took battery out and security wipe nothing it is still the same can't find it anywhere.

I don't know. I've been assuming the apps are supported by your carrier and in your country since you say you upgraded, indicating you have been using them.

Are you using an aftermarket theme?

Only other idea I have is to reinstall the OS.

What is a aftermarket sorry for q. New to this things. I am from south Africa so don't know to much about blackberry.

That I have and there is a add on and a core when you download something it goes to third party. Add on and core I have no idea what that is for but if you go in there there stands blackberry messenger and blackberry maps and blackberry app and Facebook. Core. There stands phone and email setup and browser and blackberry 5.0.0 software and blackberry 5.0.0 core aplication so have no idea what that all means.

you seem to be having an awful lot of problems with your BB. You have at least 5 threads open right now, each with a different, but similar problem. Perhaps it isn't the right device for you?

I can't tell if your answer to my theme question is yes or no.

Make sure you are using one of the themes that is native (i.e. A orginal BlackBerry or carrier) to the device. If you are using a theme that you downloaded, that is definitely not what you want to use right now, while you test.

But all things considered, you may want to either do a security wipe, or reinstall the OS, and start over. Do a full backup first, then restore just your personal data, but no settings, and no apps. Then use the BlackBerry as it is for a few days. Don't experiment, don't download any apps or any themes. See what happens.

After a couple of days of testing, just download what you absolutely need. If you can get through the next couple of weeks without an app, you don't need it. No third-party games or utilities, no third-party themes, no third-party anything unless you cannot do without it.

In the meantime, browse the BlackBerry forums. See what kind of problems people are having and how those problems are fixed. Play with the BlackBerry but don't change anything yet. Drill down through all the menues and options. If you don't understand something, open Help from the menu or look it up.

After a few months, if you want to experiment, go ahead. Make sure beforehand that you know what you are doing and how to back your way out or wipe and start over.
