Need Help/Suggestions for Message processing

I'm trying to get our blackberry to only beep for certain messages that occur and only when there are 10 or more of them within 10 mins or so.
We get system alerts daily and I'm trying to setup support for them with our team. I have been using the filters but they can only filter out by message but not only just respond after you get a certain number of them.
I'm trying to avoid staff from getting pages unneccessarily at night. I thought about possibly creating a Blackberry app using Eclipse. I've never done this, but don't know of anyother way to do this. Any help/suggestions would be great. Thanks

That's a great idea for an app, but I don't think BB has that capability right now. I could be wrong.

you can have a special tone ( ringtone) for a contact

To change Sounds and Alerts settings fo the current Profile:

From the homescreen, select the Sounds and Alerts icon.
Select Change Sounds and Alerts.
Select Sounds for Current Profile.
Change notifier settings for desired item.
Exit and save settings.

As for the number of messages, so far nothig exists.

Re: Need Help/Suggestions for Message processing

That's what I was afraid of. I'm going to attempt to create an app for what I want and see how far I get. It would be hard to believe that these devices can't handle basic simple programming logic. But then again I never attempted to write an app for one either. Thanks for the advice. I will respond here on my results/research/attemps.
