My Torch 9810 was showing battery power above 30% when it started popping the message "battery is too low for radio use" and then shutting off the 3G and wireless connection. It did this 3 times today, and then turned off, so I presume that, when it was showing 30% of battery power before, it was already with low battery and now showing it properly.

After it turned off, I tried turning it back on but it didn't work. I've tried battery pull several times, it keeps trying to turn on but stops and "dies again" loading the bar on turning screen. Can my battery be dead or perhaps the ''connection'' between battery and phone not working as it should?

It sounds like a bad battery to me.

Replace the battery with a new OEM model. And don't let it run down past 20% on a regular basis.
