After hours trying to find a working solution for this, I've finally decided to post here asking for help. I've read guides and tried different suggestions, it doesn't seem to be a common problem and the stuff I found worked for some people but not for me, so here are the details of what I've tried so far:
It's an unlocked storm 9530 working with a brazilian carrier called TIM. I was having trouble because sometimes it would restart when connected to the USB or wouldn't be detected at all, and sometimes I couldn't even charge the battery using the charger, saying the outlet didn't have enough power or just not detecting it at all. I read updating the OS might help so I I used the Desktop Manager to update it and got the Reload 507 before the process was finished.
I've tried different solutions. Downloaded a few different versions of the OS (from the RIM website, verizon and the older 4.7 version as well) but nothing worked, I still get the message when it's Reconnecting to JVM and the phone restarts, then it's stuck. The furthest I've got was earlier this morning after letting it just sit here for a few days with the battery out, and it got stuck at the Updating software part, where it just stayed there with a red light on and there was no progress at all for over an hour. Tried BBSAK but it couldn't detect the phone, tried to fix that but couldn't either. The phone is in great condition, it was never dropped or damaged but I can't rely on warranty on this one, since it's from another country.
I'd appreciate it if anyone could give me a new suggestion.
