Unhappy I downloaded an app, then deleted it and now..

Please Login to Remove!

Hi, please HELP, a while ago I down loaded a torch app, decided it wasn't what I wanted and then deleted it. My 8520 now wont open my e-mail, screen keeps freezing and bbm wont work either. The screen has also
displayed an App World * to say 2 messages for ages. I have had to remove the battery so many times over the past few days. I am considering removing all Apps and then re-downloading after a re-boost. Would it work or is it a "software problem" as I was told at my service carrier at one of the Malls.

You did not state what the App is so my guess is it was not for your model Blackberry. simply do a wipe and do not add any Apps. If this continues then you need to reload the OS. Make sure the Os is for your blackkberry and you reload from your Pc not OTA. Download some of the helper info in the FAQ section at the top of the Forum page.

Hi tsac. thanks so much, but i am new to BB and cell phones and don't know how to wipe, don't know OS' and what is an OTA? It might help if I told you my daughter gave me my cell for my birthday. It was a torch app.

Many thanks for any future help

Wipe = Security wipe, whereby you restore the BB to factory settings, undoing any changes you made.

OS = Operating System. It's the software that runs your BB.

OTA = Over the Air. I don't recommend you load any OS via this method.

As tsac mentioned, spend some time reading the FAQ to help familiarize yourself with your BB. BlackBerry.com has a lot of information, as well.
