Every time i try to update the software, it gets stuck on database: sms message 502 of 850 items, any ideas?

You probably are going to need to delete that database and then try updating.

i just used desktop manager to push it through, seems to me the updates are becoming more buggy to install, anyone agree?

Nope.

If you were talking in the first post about having tried the OTA update via the handset itself, that has always been hit and miss and probably miss much of the time. The automatic updates through desktop manager have always been smooth for me. I don't do the OTA updates because of the large number of horror stories on the forums.
