A number of my apps will not connect using 3G but are fine using wifi.

I am starting with trying to resolve facebook

I get "We cannot reach the facebook server at this time. Please try again later. (100)". Clearly this is not 'really' the truth. Other 3G facilities are fine, eg browser.

I looked at a KB article but my app is way father on in version than that article refers to.

I tried to upgrade FB but the only thing I could seem to manage to do was to delete. After the reboot I searched for FB hoping to install an upgrade, but a search just led me to a placeholder record of the app I had just 'uninstalled' (I thought I had deleted not uninstalled, at least that what text it used). The only offering was a 'reinstall' and I assume this was at exactly the same version, because the problem still persists.

Try resending service books.

If neither a hard reset nor resending service books fixes the problem, then maybe it's the network, rather at least not you.
