I have an "EDGE" & a "WiFi" indicating on the top right of My BlackBerry 8520 (curve), but the Applications I downloaded such as Facebook, Twitter, Yahoo Messenger, Google Talk, etc aren't working. Please I urgently need your assistance as this problem has hindered Me from effectively making use of My BlackBerry. Thanks for your kind co-operation.

Are those applications working over the carrier network?
