Talking Techno-retard looking for a walk-through. :)

HELP! Please and thank you.

Hello most intelligent technologically savvy Blackberry owners,

Cave woman here. I have a second hand Blackberry Pearl given to me by a relative. It has what I am assuming are 2 Rogers Sim Cards with it. It is a foreign object to me. I have plugged in the device and a small red light flashed momentarily in the top right hand corner, but there is no other indication that it is charging. How can I tell if the battery is still good? I believe it is still a working unit, as the relative was simply upgrading to an iphone.

I have no idea how to activate this puppy or whether it is worth activating at all. I will be using it to talk and text, no internet. Is this worth using or is it just as cost effective to buy basic phone? If it's worth activating, I have no idea how to do this. Any advice would be much appreciated.

If you've charged it up for several hours, try turning it on. The battery was probaly completely drained.

For making phone calls and texting, it is my opinion that a BlackBerry, especially a Pearl, is not the best choice.
