Default Can I get rid of Enterprise?

Hey guys, first up let me apologise for how incoherent and stupid I'm sure this post will sound. I am not tech-minded, and repeated searches are getting me nowhere.

I have the Blackberry Bold 9900 and my carrier sent me a replacement handset which I got today. It keeps asking me for 'enterprise activation', which, going by what the internet is telling me, appears to be for corporate accounts. This is a personal phone, not through work. I can't see another way to add my email account to the handset. Weirdly, the dropdown search feature on the browser has gone too (so if I type 'blackberry' into the address bar, there isn't the option to auto-google it like there used to be).

It has an "IT Policy" on it which has to be removed.

Google "Remove IT Policy" and the most effective ways will be shown.

I can't believe carriers send out BBs with policies on them. Amazing.

Another thought, the device might not be actually activated on your account. You might try calling the carrier with the IMEI and PIN and ensure that it has been properly activated.

You should also resend service books (see our FAQ) or reregister via the host routing table and do a battery pull.
